One can usually find Gered at the campfire, telling tales or singing a song with his crossbow leaned against a log. He knows many of both, and will share one if you ask. He will smile and laugh along with the crowd, making all feel welcome. When you ask him about his past though, the smile fades. He will tell you a bit of a childhood in Andrin, of learning his trade from a family friend, and of his journeys since, but never the whole story at once and never joyously. The smile returns when the topic ends, and the song or story begins not so long after.
On the road he will try to keep spirits high, and the group moving. Occasionally he will steal some time away to keep his skills with his crossbow sharp. Once in awhile, when he isn’t needed, he can be found lost in thought, staring off into the distance.
